The Santa Monica Office Building Renovation transforms a windowless office space into a day lit central space surrounded by offices with glass partitions. Located 5 blocks from the ocean, the addition of operable windows, operable skylights and a large ceiling fan naturally ventilate the space. Each office has a solar light tube. Indirect lighting illuminates the truss structure and provides reflected light for the office worker.

The renovation required all new building systems and had to adhere to the strict requirements of the Santa Monica Building Department, as well as a tight budget. Street trees and landscaping for the project are pending the approval of the City's Landscape Plan for Arizona Avenue.
